A radiator is a heat exchanger that transfers heat from a heating device or source to a surrounding fluid. The fluid is usually air, but can also be water or some other non-conductive fluid. The radiator can be actively cooled through natural convection, or it can use fans to achieve forced convection cooling. Radiators are usually made of copper or aluminum.
