    What is precision metal stamping?

Precision metal stamping is a high-volume metalworking process that uses stamping tools to create sheet metal parts by stamping the material into the desired shape. This is done according to a pattern and each part is removed from the motherboard after stamping.

Precision metal stamping methods allow manufacturers to create parts that require undercuts, multiple features or fragile walls for assembly.

It uses high-pressure equipment to press metal sheets into molds, so the product's shape has geometric precision and an excellent surface finish.

What are the complete stamping processes of HY?

Blanking: The stamping process that separates sheets (including punching, blanking, trimming, sectioning, etc.).

Bending: The stamping process of bending sheet metal into a certain angle and shape along the bending line.

Deep drawing: A stamping process that turns flat sheets into various open hollow parts, or further changes the shape and size of hollow parts.

Local forming: a stamping process that uses various local deformations of different properties to change the shape of the blank or stamping part (including flanging, bulging, leveling and shaping processes, etc.).

Why choose precision metal stamping to produce parts?

    1. Precision metal stamping can improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and is suitable for mass production needs.

    2. Precision metal stamping can ensure the dimensional accuracy, stable quality, and good interchangeability of parts, reducing subsequent inspection and repair work.

    3. Precision metal stamping can make the surface quality of parts better, which facilitates subsequent surface treatment (such as electroplating, painting, etc.).

    4. Precision metal stamping can obtain parts with small size, light weight and high stiffness while saving materials, which improves the performance and service life of the parts.

To sum up, precision metal stamping is an efficient, economical and reliable manufacturing process that can meet the parts production needs of different industries and fields.

Your precision aluminum die castings are produced by HY using the most advanced die casting machine spark machine。

    What is die casting?

Die casting is a process that involves melting a low melting point metal and injecting it into a finished mold (called a die casting mould). Molds or tools come from steel made for a single project using manufacturing processes such as CNC machining. As a result, sheet metal parts manufactured by die casting have high precision, precision and repeatability.

Why choose die casting produced by HY?

The die-cast parts produced by HY are relatively cheap and of good quality, making them suitable for mass production. Semi-automated or fully automated production processes reduce labor costs.

HY can easily cast intricate and complex shapes with part sizes ranging from 25g to 25Kg.

Due to the high pressure used in the process, part wall thickness can be as thin as 0.38 mm.

Because the molten metal cools rapidly at the mold walls, the casting has a fine-grained crust and excellent strength. Therefore, as wall thickness decreases, the strength-to-weight ratio of die-cast parts increases

Generate smooth surfaces for bearings that would otherwise require machining.

It produces net-shape products at high speeds with little or no post-processing required.

Excellent dimensional accuracy and good surface finish - 0.8-3.2 um Ra.

Smaller parts can be manufactured using multi-cavity molds or micro-die casting

    Advantages of Hongyu die-casting products

    1. High precision tolerances

Die casting produces parts with high durability and dimensional accuracy. Parts maintain their dimensional accuracy over time even when exposed to harsh conditions. Therefore, the die-casting produced by HY is used to manufacture complex machine internal parts that require high standards of precision and accuracy.

    2. Complex thin-walled parts

Aluminum die casting can create complex shapes and lightweight parts, but has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it superior to other metal mold castings and investment castings. Die castings and aluminum alloys can have thicknesses as low as 0.5mm; castings made of zinc can even have wall thicknesses as low as 0.3mm.

    3.. High mechanical properties

Die cast products have excellent mechanical properties. When liquid metal solidifies under high pressure, the product appears fine, dense, and crystalline. Die castings have high hardness and strength. Additionally, they feature improved durability and high conductivity.

    4. Smooth surface

Die cast parts have a smooth, consistent crystalline surface. The die casting process alloys molten metal alloys to fill a mold and create a precise shape.

    5. Cost-effectiveness of mass production

Die castings generally require less machining because their surfaces are typically smooth and have excellent mechanical properties.

Hongyu often uses these die casting materials

    aluminum alloy:ADC12、YL113、YL102、A380、A360、 A413

    zinc alloy: 3#Zn、Zamak #2、#3、#5、#7、ZA8 、 ZA27

    magnesium alloy:AZ31B、AZ80A
