Basic Introduction to Blades

Currently, the commonly used surgical blades are divided into sizes 10, 11, 12, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. Blades No. 10, 20-24 are used for cutting skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle, periosteum and other tissues. Blade No. 11 is used for cutting blood vessels, nerves, gastrointestinal tract and heart tissues. Blade No. 12 is used for knee joint and otolaryngological surgeries.
